eliance ADA Group’s gaming website Zapak is planning to open a new website for girls, which will be known as Zapak Girls. It has already registered the domain name and the website could launch in about two months.
Rohit Sharma, COO, Zapak Digital Entertainment says, “In India, this is hardly 5-8 per cent. Our female population is still addicted to saas-bahu serials. It is time to shake them out of it. Zapak Girls will be launched in two months time. The company is still developing games on fashion, cooking, romance (finding the right man). There will be a bouquet of 25 games completely exclusively made for women.”
What remains to be seen is if the trend really catches up in India, like it has in USA where nearly half of the casual gamers are women.
